ARI'S SAFETY PATENTS CAN SAVE LIVES
There are 16 MILLION auto accidents that occur every year in the United States, resulting in 36,750 traffic deaths last year in the US alone. ARI patents present super-fast autonomous intervention to reduce these numbers dramatically. Our intellectual property seamlessly merges -
COLLISION AVOIDANCE with HARM MINIMIZATION:
- Analyze the impending collision.
- Avoid the collision if possible.
- Minimize the harm when unavoidable.
- Implement a post-collision emergency protocol.
Currently, with 7 issued Patents, and further intellectual property in progress, including applications before the USPTO for life-saving harm avoidance, including novel V2X strategies and algorithms, ARI’s look-ahead/plan-ahead Patents autonomously apply the most aggressive collision-avoidance courses of action. And they instantaneously manage the collision contact, saving lives in both vehicles - which could be yours or your loved ones.
Serious interest and a large commitment of resources for self-driving systems has been front and center in the transportation world. And there is no question that completely eliminating human control of ALL vehicles would hugely reduce roadway fatalities. Autonomous vehicles would never drive 90 miles an hour in residential districts in defiance of all common sense.
Therefore, to maximize safety, it would be a stupendous life-saving achievement if every single vehicle on the road became completely autonomous. Unfortunately, this is unrealistic at the present time, as many humans will under no circumstances relinquish control to a computer. Examples of such naysaying holdouts include hotrodders, thrill seekers who love speeding, and some reckless teenagers.
With some vehicles being self-driving, and others being controlled by human beings, fatal accidents will continue to occur at a dismal rate. An example where a crash is more likely is when some vehicles are totally self-driving, and others are operated by human beings who may be intoxicated, drug-crazed, mentally impaired, visually impaired, or simply inattentive (cell phone usage while driving at high speeds). The sad fact is that ACCIDENTS are still going to happen.
The Global Status Report on Road Safety highlights that the number of annual road traffic deaths worldwide has reached 1.35 million. Road traffic injuries are now the leading killer of people aged 5-29 years.
Yes, our highways are a death trap. The time has come that this sickening and inexcusable carnage be greatly reduced. Recognition that accidents will occur no matter what, and then doing something about it, namely – implementing instantaneous and automatic intervention to mitigate the damage from a life-threatening collision – is the key requirement for success.
So what about ARI? We are convinced that the horrific death numbers above can be significantly reduced with ARI's accident interventional strategies - as it is feasible NOW to automatically and instantaneously mitigate the harm to life and limb related to an impending collision.
Everyone agrees that saving hundreds of thousands of lives every year on roadways is a gigantic step forward in automotive safety – and the benchmark for success is when people walk away from collisions, rather than being killed by them. This is the goal of all vehicle manufactures throughout the world, and we applaud these professionals for their commitment of time, energy, and resources. We at ARI are here to help in any way we possibly can. We share this safety mission, and we very much welcome the privilege of partnering with you to save lives.
ARI's Patents combine COLLISION AVOIDANCE and HARM MINIMIZATION.
